Who lives here: an almost retired couple who entertain their family & friends often.
Brief: Garden needs to be low maintenance, be able to withstand very windy conditions, but not interfere with their beautiful countryside views & large entertaining areas to accommodate at least 20 people with enough running space for the grandchildren.
They had no colour preference, but wanted a Wisteria, Cherry & Olive tree included in the garden.
They wanted the whole garden to be designed but will install in phases.

The Journey
What we installed
We installed all the raised borders & areas immediately next to the lawns, a garden with many ornamental grasses which will add movement & softness to all the angular modern design.
We included parasol trees to supply some shade on the patio & give height.
The corten steel raised planters give structure & the colour goes very well with the different shades of green, purples & blue perennial flower plants used.
Using a different colour porcelain to denote different areas helps to make the large patio appear smaller & in proportion to the house & rest of the garden.
The client could not believe that they could have a garden looking so good! & we will be back to carry on with the next phase in a year or so.
